Nervous newbie - first meeting ever - tonight
 

Well, I thought I'd bite the proverbial bullet and go to a meeting tonight. I've chosen to go to an Al-Anon meeting because I'm not really sure where I sort of "land" in the dependency spectrum. Have issues with alcohol myself (binger, mostly) and am dating (long distance) a guy who clearly has issues too. I guess you just pick one and go. I am very nervous. I hope everyone at the meeting is as lovely and accepting as all y'all have been so far. Wish me luck.

I always feel welcome at meetings. I've never been to one I didn't like. The people I've met at meetings are always kind and friendly. I think you'll like it.:Val004:
