$231

I was just thinking. It has been 33 days since I had a drink--I am estimating it cost me about $7.00 a day to drink on average(I am shooting low) Times 33= $231.00---Thats alot of coin. There are many benifits from not drinking.
I am glad I opened my eyes---Hope this helps someone out.
Better health--better quality of living---More money in the bank.
Lets add to the list.

I was drinking a minimum of $60 a day in a bar. Do the math on that one.

I estimated my use one time out to be around $80,000 a year. Thats with no job. Thats sad.
What I could have done with that money now. Dam shame.

I am finding that now that I am WORKING for my money. I am a real tight ass. LOL
I guess easy come easy go with using. Plus that disgusting chase to boot.
Money can be a motivator.

Great job on 33 days.

What really costed me the most money from drinking were the cigarettes (chain-smoked around two packs while drinking), and the hang-over "cures" which could be anything from a junk food shopping spree or other unnecessary items that I bought on impulse.
I drank very cheap wine and if at a bar my drinks were mostly bought by other people.

Yes I think we are all saving a bundle. I have no idea how much I spent on alcohol because most of the time it was supplemented by others therefore my husband is probably benefiting from it but I'm sure he would rather have his drinking buddy back. Most of my waste was on impulse shopping. Everything looked so much better. I cannot believe some of the expensive stuff I bought which I think is pretty ugly right now. Once I called QVC (I am not a QVC shopper at all) and bought about $1,000 worth of horrible jewelery but it looked good at the time. I had it sent to my daughters and when she looked at it and told me how horrible it was I sent it back without ever looking at it. It was all junk.

Yeah, its amazing isn't it? I know I am a real cheap date now. Went from like 7.00 dirty martinis to club soda!

so what are you going to do with your new found fortune? You should treat yourself to something!

yeha the money thing is weird! I would easliy do 50k a year and then there is the gambling in the casinos (as they would welcome me pissed with open arms until they closed). So this year will be interesting indeed and will be an interesting post to revisit in a year!

For me it will be the test of whether i actually have managed to keep the stuff i have in my house now for a year without dumping it all getting fed up and relocating again as the place would suck...kind of pretty sure it was me that sucked and not the places too much lol

Hmmm...how about better relationships whether they be work, friends or romance for the list?

I think I will take the extra cash I have and play the stock market---Plus being sober who Knows I may just catch a big money stock at a real low price.
