Question about AA meeting rule
I'm still trying to figure out how to start a thread. I'm new here.
I have a question regarding my wife's first AA meeting.
At the AA meeting, they wouldn't allow anybody to hold up there hand (to ask questions) while an attendee was speaking.
What is the reason for this rule? Is it to avoid taking the speaker off on a tangent?

Hi danbif, and welcome to SR. Just wanted to give you a quick reply to this.
At an AA meeting crosstalk or interruptions of any kind are not suggested. The person who is sharing should be allowed to speak freely and openly. If your wife has questions, I'd encourage her to speak with someone after the meeting, or share in a group discussion.
