Hi- Day 3 and new to this site

Hi All- I am looking for some answers regarding withdrawal symptoms. My drinking had escalated up to two bottles of wine a night and more on the weekends. I have been a heavy drinker for years. Yesterday I had sweats and chills but was fine by the afternoon. I was fine today until this afternoon when I developed a terrible headache, nausea with sweats and chills again. Is it typical for your withdrawal symptoms (which I assume these are) to come and go? What can I expect over the next few days?

I appreciate any info!

SD

Welcome Snowdog. We always will advise you to talk with a doctor and/or have someone close by to keep track of you while you detox.

This is a thread that might be of help though.

Good luck and again, welcome to SR.

Welcome to SR Snowdog, great crowd of folk here for you.
I found for the first couple of weeks that at times, especially in the mornings I felt terrible- as though I had a hangover. But it passed and its worth not going back there again.

Welcome Snowdog, you've come to the right place!

It gets a little easier each day....................stay strong and you can get over it. Continue to research this site as it has many of great forums and an online meeting every night to help get through this.

Good Luck,
