Finally got a home group!

I'm beyond ecstatic because today I got a home group and a sponsor... Turns out my sponsor is the father of a using friend, who is in rehab as I type this. My home group is at 8 am, and next week we're holding an 11th anniversary breakfast deal... I have to be there at 5 am. Hahaha. I haven't been up at 5 am... ever. But I'm beyond excited. I've never felt so good about something in my life. I'm gonna call my sponsor later and just get a feel for how he works. I saw an old using friend this morning who really just... Isn't in a good place. I gave him a "Am I An Addict?" pamphlet... I hope he reads it.

On a lighter note, I'll be celebrating 30 days on Wednesday! I'm really excited... I had about 18 months before, but I wasn't working the program at all. This time, I'm making a change. I'm taking a stand!

Thats awesome!! I have recently found my home group as well. we meet at 7:15am which is perfect for me ( weird morning person that I am).

I have yet to decide on a sponsor, as there aren't that many women with much time in. But there are a few, I just need to listen to them a little more before I decide.
