White Powder Everywhere!!!!
White Powder Everywhere!!!!
We're getting our first real snow. I love the snow, it makes everything so beautiful. And I actually like driving in it, no so much at highway speeds, but around town and on back roads is fun. Hell yeah!!!!
Oh--you mean that white powder... Hope you enjoy it...it snowed here just for a few hours the other night--luckily it didn't stick.....folks here don't know how to drive in extremely cold weather.

OK, who are you, and what have you done with the real doorknob?
j/k
Glad to hear you're so excited about it. Not much chance of snow here in Phoenix, but I look forward to taking a trip every winter to play in the snow north of the city.

If I could have Ohio's snow shipped to you I would! I hate snow, tho I know how to drive safely in it, too many other drivers do not, making my trip to the store a nightmare. It does cover up all the trash and litter on the ground, for a while, making everything look cleaner for a bit.
We get enough around here that most people know how to drive in it. But there's always those idiots who don't seem to realize that while having a 4 wheel drive may help you to get moving, it does nothing to help you stop.

Hey Doorknob, We have had over foot of snow on the ground since beginning of the month, and it is snowing hard again today.A few miles up the road are some major ski resorts that have put a lot local people to work. Many are friends who are extremely grateful because this affords them a better Christmas for them and their children, one that they never would have had if it wasn't for the early snow.
By looking out my rear window there in nothing but a beautifu white landscape, broken only by the deer that come on my property during hunting season. They really seem to know that it is safe here since I don't hunt any more. I have often wondered how every new generation seems to have that intuition. Do the doe's show the fawns, or do the fawns just observe.

One of the things both of my girls remember most was a day we got over 6" of snow. No one was out that evening, and I piled both girls in the car (I had a kick-butt 74 Chevy Nova at the time). We went up to the high school parking lot, fresh virgin snow, White Zombie cranking for tunes, and did donuts alllll over that parking lot!!!!!!!

We've been getting dumped on all day and I just keep building those berms higher and higher. It's turned into an obsession, lol... I spent hours shoveling today. And it's supposed to keep snowing through tomorrow...
