My life broken in six months
I am ready to quit today. It's my first day in almost six months where I haven't thought about buying coke. I am quitting because the man that got me involved dumped me, and in turn, slandered my name to everyone. I don't wanna be a part of that world anymore. I'm ready to be clean and sober and the person I want my children to look up to one day (when I have some ). Anyhow, I'm Rivcah, and this is my first day.
Just get through today, and then 'we' can work on tomorrow.
Yes we..... there is a whole bunch of us & your not alone.
It's so much easier doing it when you know there is whole bunch of people right here battling along with you : )

Glad you're here Rivcah, lots of good support on this site so please stick around.
I did get a second chance at being a great parent in recovery. It's the best gift I've ever received!

Welcome to a very loving and supportive place for getting clean and sober. I credit my sobriety in large part due to the friends here who never gave up on me. Stick around, read and post, get to know us so we can help you get clean of your addiction.
This site has lots of info in the 'stickies' at the top of each forum. A wealth of information. And lots of supportive friends to travel the road of recovery with. It makes the journey less lonely.
Welcome! I'm glad you found us.:ghug3

Hi Rivcah & welcome!
So glad you posted here and let us "in" on what's happening with you! You've got that right, friend!!!! You don't need those people in your life! Psychobabble nonsense that goes with the drugs and users. YOU CAN DO THIS! YOU ARE NOT ALONE! WE ARE HERE FOR YA! One minute at a time and life will change.... it's all a roller-coaster ride from here, but one that you'll remember! Hang on tight and don't let go. We're here to help eachother get through the moments we used "other" things to get us through - that we're just killing us. Make a commitment to "just for today" I'll not use and seek supportive friends who really care for me and know what I'm going through! Keep it simple and reach out here as much as you need to!
Can't wait to hear more of what's going on with you & get to know you!
Hugs,
Nicki:ghug3

Welcome Rivcah ... I'm on day 4 of being sober from Alcohol. I know it sounds corny, but go one day at a time. Counting those days makes me feel stronger for some reason. I MADE it to day 4!!! I MADE it to day 5!!!
Good luck and keep posting. It really does help to keep you focused and on track.
