30 days!!!!
When I first began my sobriety I was reading others posting their 30 day mark and thought to myself, "I don't think I will make it", "30 days is SO far away." But guess what, I made it. It might possibly have been the longest 30 days of my life but also maybe the best. It has been such a learning experience for me. Re-introducing myself to the world. Re-introducing myself to myself. Believe it or not I am actually growing attached to the real me. She's not so bad after all.
Besides my own strength and will power I also owe my new life to SR. I don't attend AA (yet) and I don't have too much support from the outside world so I have gotten this far because of all of your strength and experiences. It's funny but I wasn't even looking for this kind of site. I was researching alcohol withdrawal and such when i "accidently stumbled" across this. It's amazing how "accidents" work.

Awesome post, SH!
Congratulations, and keep up the good work. One of the incredible things about this forum is that every person posting -- newbies and oldtimers alike -- comes away helping AND being helped. I, too, ended up here by chance. That was a full two years ago, and I consider many of the people I've met here some of my truest friends.

Thanks everyone...
So I decided to treat myself to something for my accomplishment. I've come up with the usual ideas-movie, dinner, bowling, ect. I was wondering what everyone else has done to reward themselves. Throw me your ideas...
