Help, ready to pull my hair out!
First, HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!! I'm thinking of you out there today.
I'm doing Thanksgiving at my house. The big party is at my parents with other relatives but since I was drunk up til 6 days ago and at my sisters birthday last month, I opted to stay out of the big family thing for Thanksgiving and lay low with my kids, friends.... Can't handle humiliation right now (ever, actually).
I'm trying to stay focused on the job at hand, but crap -- it's not easy. I've been waiting to post you all day but this is the 1st chance I got and will definitely after the shin-dig. Could write this all day, but gotta go and do much, much miore to make this thing happen!
My thoughts and prayers are with you ALL out there. Again, Happy Thanksgiving!
Sincerely,
Me:ghug2

:prayingHappy Thanksgiving to you! You have six days more than you did seven days ago, Congratulations! When I first got sober, it was all I could do to stay sober. It took me months before I could start to function with any focus. Give yourself a break but more important is that you don't drink now! Humiliation is not part of our sobriety, we seek to learn humility, humbleness. In a meeting I spoke of being humiliated by my now ex because of my drinking. A woman with great sobriety said "When you learn humility you will not feel humiliated" WOW! Hang in and you will be alright! LOL
