coming to believe (a little more each day)
good morning recovery world (DAY 42 OR 43 Clean)
"I never have to smoke crack again"--i am coming to believe in that, in myself more and more. My stock is going up at a nice steady rate. I attended a new meeting (for me) last night and plan to make it my Monday night meeting. I've had a little apathy in the last couple days, and have not written much during that time, but this morning I feel connected to the universe.
good day in recovery to YOU. and below is a prayer that I wrote:
Help me be Me

I pray to the God of all our conceptions of god.
When fear consumes me
you know the running desires of my heart.
help me learn more in the midst of my fears.
help me to be me.
It's so scary to think of
letting go of my security or
of loosing my security--my job.
In my fear God
I pray to do your will, The Will.
I pray to Be...to be Love and Service.
to serve and love those around me.
to give and receive.
it only takes an instant, however,
to want to cry in my madness and cover it all up
with the comfort of desire.
You can help me to simply BE,
or to be you
or a part of you
just as a leaf
is the tree
and is a part of the tree.
I pray to receive this gift, and to give it away.

(IMHO I think you should give yourself an extra day make it 44 tomorrow and on Thanksgiving it will be an even 45! Greatly deserved to yourself )

I always can use a little boost. and that was enough to put me on top of the world.
I'm glad that you related to me. and your words returned a gift to me as well.
I will stay focused on the path towards the light today. I re-dedicate myself to sobriety and "doing the next right thing", for today.
I will try and be the best I can be today.
the best human being (as opposed to competitor) that i can be.
I will include all of the world in my thoughts as object(s) of my love, and i will tlry to love more and more and be LOVE, today, as best I can
