Thanks everyone. My sister and I went to a spa about an hour north of us in the country. We looked forward to spending time in the outdoor hot baths, in the eucalyptus steam rooms, and in the solarium with a good book. Before we could arrive, however, we passed the driveway by accident and I tapped the brakes in order to do a U turn - the roads were snow-covered and we started fishtailing. After what seemed an eternity we ended up facing the wrong way, having driven into a snow-filled ditch - a wall of snow fanned over the car like a tsunami. We sat there for a moment, dazed, in sight of the spa, then burst out laughing.
An hour and a half later, we got towed out and made our way to the spa. It made for a memorable start to the day, and the spa was wonderful.
