Exclamation suboxone ?'s

alright, so i started my suboxone therapy yesterday. 4mg at the office, then another 4mg at home in the evening. i told the nurse that it was my birthday and asked if it would be alright to have one or two drinks with my meds. she said no worries, just don't drink too much.

well, i had two drinks with one shot in each over a period of four hours. i felt fine. came home and went to bed around one in the morning. i woke up at three a.m. and thought i was DYING. i felt this horrible stabbing pain in my stomach, with really horrible nausea. i was literally panting from the pain and felt as if i was going to pass out.

i woke my boyfriend up and he brought me a trashcan because i couldn't get out of bed. he went to get me some clothes to take me to the hospital because i was really freaked out. i was scared i was having a bad reaction to the suboxone. i managed to throw up, and i must have thrown up about six to eight times. it was HORRIBLE. but afterwards, i felt much better. i went back to sleep, and got up this morning to call the doctor to make sure it was safe to take my next dose. the nurse i spoke with didn't have any answers for me other than to stay on the meds, and not drink.

i was just curious if anyone else has had this type of problem? i mean, i NEVER ever drink, and if i do, it's one drink with maybe half a shot in it. and it's never a hard liquor. always something like amaretto or a baileys and coffee. the nurse says it was probably the alcohol, and i'm sure she's right.

but, if you've had anything like this happen, would you mind sharing your experience with me? i want to make sure i don't do anything that could affect my treatment!

thank you all so much for reading! its awesome that there's a place where i can meet people who understand what i'm going through and actually relate!!!
