Soarin's sober for 2 weeks

Been sober 2 weeks today YAY!! I barely stayed clean for 2 days before let alone 2 weeks. It hasn't been easy but honestly it isn't as hard as I thought it would be. I have a LONG way to go but if I can go 2 weeks, I can go another 2 right? I am aware this is a lifelong journey but at least I have stepped on the path now. Introducing myself back into the world in somewhat interesting. Many people I've known for years have just met me for the first time "in the raw". My kids have a clear-headed mommy now. It seems to be workin out.

Feels good to be soarin' clean and sober, doesn't it? Congrats on your first two weeks!

I treasure the time spent with my children, each moment is a gift of recovery. I'm thrilled that I have custody this weekend, for the first time in 4 years they'll attend my annual AA membership dinner with me. Woo hoo!

Nice one! I just 2 did weeks too and I really like your philosophy of "If I can go 2 weeks, I can go another 2".

Apart from one tough day yesterday I also didn't think it was as hard as I expected. I suspect there are tougher times ahead though. I don't say that to be negative, but to be realistic and prepared.

Anyway, keep going.

Way to go freedom!! How ya feelin?

Isn't time funny? Christmas is just around the corner and will be here before ya know it. When you think of Thanksgiving being about two weeks away, you know time is going to fly. Yet 2 weeks of sobriety has felt like two years. Not necessarily a horrible 2 yrs but 2 yrs never the less....

Crazy
