.

I'll hold good thoughts for your furry boy . . . It's so hard to see our furred and feathered companions have problems. I hope your vet can find out what's wrong and work with you . . . .

Least,

I am so sorry about your little dog. Yes, God does care about him. His word tells us not a sparrow falls from the sky that he is not aware of.

Prayers going up for healing for your little dog.

Sheila

least,

I saw an article about a little device for dogs and cats that's sorta like a walker for them. It looked like a harness device with wheels so they could still get around without having to use the back legs. Maybe the vet would know about stuff a device and where you get one or have one made.

If your sweet little pup is in no pain and happy, this could be a good solution. Keeping you both in my thoughts!

Love,

Lenina

Praying for you both. I lost my doggie to heart failure and it was a long drawn out thing, very sad!

I've considered those little wheeled things if worse comes to worst. Also wondering if his back legs get worse would he also lose control of bowel and bladder? Will call my vet MOnday morning to ask the number of a vet experienced in diabetes and/or neuropathy.

He seems to be happy and ok this morning, even managed to get up the three porch steps by himself, but is smart enough to bark at the bottom of the stairs for me to carry him up to my den.

I thank you all for your hugs and prayers and positive thoughts. It helps me a lot!:ghug

Least,

Sorry to hear of your troubles. I know how you feel about your dog as my pets have been everything to me. I hope you find some medical solution that works for both of you on Monday.

If you don't mind, what kind of dog do you have? Did this happen suddenly or gradually? How old is your dog? My friend runs a rescue group in LA, and she had a Daschund who lost the use of her back legs. It looked like she occasionally got them back but I'm not sure. I believe it was attributed to a stroke but either way, "Gypsy" lived a happy, long , full life after that first happened. True, she had her issues, but she was a well-loved dog and lack of finances just couldn't play a part in her recovery. Give me some info and I'll ask my friend for some advice, OK?

What a great network of information you have here. People know people who know people..... SR is so much more than just a recovery website. I'm glad to be a member.

We'll work on this, Least. You're not alone....

XOXO

I have a friend who has a doggie-wheelchair for her dog. He has a few limitations, but is a VERY happy and loved dog.

Still sending you and your furbabies hugs and prayers!

Sending my prayers for your doggie. I had a Lab who came down with hip displacia/arthritus. We gave him Adequan injections and they really helped a lot.

Talking

I am so happy happy! A while ago little dog was downstairs barking to come up to my den. I didn't go right away and when I did he was halfway up the stairs by himself! And he climbed the rest of the way by himself also!!

Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers that this improvement will continue! Thank you!

Least - thinking of you and your baby. I understand how scary it is when they are sick and you have no money. I have been there so many times. Thankfully, it has worked out for me and my pets and I hope it is the same in your case. Keep us posted, you're both in my thoughts.

Love,
Kathleen

I don't mean to run this into the ground, but he just climbed the stairs all by himself for the second time today! I'm not holding my breath, but truly hope and pray he's getting better.

I've always given him and my beagirl MSM (a natural sulfur compound) in their morning meal. I've started giving it to little dog in both meals, as it's supposed to be important for nerve transmission but also may help repair damaged nerves! So he's been getting it twice a day for at least three days. I hope it's helping him to recover and get better use of his back legs.

I thank you all for your prayers and positive thoughts. It means a lot to me and it seems to be making a positive difference to my little dog.
