New to SR
Hello,
I joined SR a few days ago.
I have been quit of alcohol since July 19 of this year, and quit a prescription oxy addiction in April 2007.
My husband went to rehab in June and now lives at an associated recovery house, is in drug court, etc. He will be home in December.
I go to AA and NA meetings and use a few sites online for support.
I just got a sponsor a few weeks ago and am reading my first step for a month.
My teenage daughter was also in rehab and much better but not totally
clean/sober yet.
This site seems huge to me so I thought I'd post an introduction here and see what response I get.

Thanks for the warm welcome!!
I should probably add that after an exceptionally crazy late teen/early twenties period,
I didn't drink alcohol for almost 14 years, got sober through AA and then stopped going....smoked weed the whole time which is why I quit going I guess, that and I had an attitude about it...
Then at an office party I had a drink, just felt like it, out of the blue, and I was off and running.
Off and on for the next 7 years and really heavy the past couple years.
And I gave up the weed last April too.
So there we have it.
Argh.
