Decided to go to a meeting

I'll just say it was interesting... of course it was in french, and though I can speak french, I don't really feel comfortable talking about emotional and personal issues in any other than my native tongue. I did meet another english person there though and got his number... first sober friend. So I guess some good came out of it.

I like what CarolD said, "there's so much to enjoy in sobriety".
Meetings are a great way to stay sober and help other alcoholics to stay sober too. I don't go to very many meetings these days but try to always go to my home group. THey are a fine bunch of people and good hearted and honest. I also get my chips there. I have six now. When I have twelve I'm going to get a clock making kit and make them into a nice clock. I'd love to have an electric/battery version of the old fashioned wall clocks you wound every day. What you all think? Wouldn't that be too cool!
