New!

Hi there, I'm brand new and just thought I'd drop a quick message. I'm an alcoholic and have recovered from a prescription drug addiction. I am trying to stop drinking and finding it extremely hard. I'm only 19 and have been drinking heavily for years. Any support would be welcome.

Welcome Brighteyes, you will find plenty of support here.
Be prepared to consider anything. AA might appeal to you or it may not, look into any ways that might be helpful. This site can play a big part in your recovery if you let it, best wishes to you.

Welcome to SR. You have so many years ahead of you, well done for taking the initiative with your drinking - I wish I had done it years ago.
