Hope, that is great that the tests are okay.

I'm trying to fight fatigue by getting as much exercise as I can, swimming laps and long walks. It has helped somewhat, expecially my mood.

Exercise is good.

I just have a hard time finding the motivation. I have to start making myself though. I know this is a key element in feeling better.

Glad to hear your results were good Hope.

I've found that the longer I'm sober, the less I have fears about my health as well as everything else.

For exercise I get on an elliptical trainer every morning and watch the news or a movie. It's pretty easy to drag myself out of bed for that, once I'm on it I commit myself to finishing the workout no matter what.

I also like hiking, walking, and bicycling but those are things I have to set more time aside for.

Hope,

I'm getting in on this conversation a little late in the game but was happy to read you had all normal tests.

Do I dare mention the possibility of depression? An overwhelming feeling of exhaustion and a very real difficulty to attempt anything - from getting out of bed to doing dishes to grocery shopping is sometimes my first sign of depression... and it's not unheard of for people to experience depression when they give up alcohol - their best friend and lover...

As silly as it is, my hope for you is that you wake up in the morning with a sudden burst of energy and a feeling of wellness and abundance. (It can't hurt to say it!)

Glad the test results were okay Hope. I also put a lot into exercise, the hardest part is probably getting out there and doing it but it gives me a great boost for the rest of the day.
You are in my prayers, best wishes to you.

Hi Hope and glad you got the all clear, it seems that fatigue is a common feature of becoming sober, I am on day 16 now and to be honest I could nod off while making a cup of tea! I even fell asleep at the movies the other afternoon and missed about 20 mins of the film.
I have been eating well and exercising but the only thing that seems to keep me awake is work.
maybe this will pass soon and good luck with the sobriety.
