Welcome in. The only mistake us guys made was that we thought we were trying to achieve Stupidity not Sobriety. Just a typo in the early days and I'm on 7 days stupidity today, yay!!!

7 days, timzup!! That is superb!! Staying stupid one day at a time!

I'm only 2 days, but I have had a month's practice which I am putting to good use!

I'm getting off SR now, I have been on for ages, instead of doing the housework. Plus my fish are drowning in their own waste - the water in the tank needs changing!

Important things to do here too.

Off to the footie this afternoon.

170 days of sobriety here, many many more than that of stupidity !!!!!!!!

sobriety and stupidity together, now theres a mix.

A weeks great Timzup, I reckoned after about 10 days things got easier.

I reckon the 2 of you will make it, I find getting the craic on here is a great substitute for drinking.

Its big jacket time for footie this afternoon I reckon.

What I do think would be an idea, is to start an UK English - US English dictionary. There are some confusions, I feel, in our cross-atlantic communications. Some might say that they adulterated the language (not me, however!!). Although, they turned rugby into football - I'm not sure that is forgiveable!

Oh, this has already beed addressed. Let us assist our US bretheren.

Well done, Fizzy, for spreading the Asterix word. You are an evangelist to our cousins across the water!

You must be freezing up in Scotland. It's cold down here, especially for a southern jessie!!

A man - woman dictionary would be useful to. Not just on SR, but the world in general. Here's my contribution:

When you ask a woman what is wrong, and she says "nothing" what she means is "something, it's your fault, and you have to guess what it is!"

a woman without a man is like a fish without a bicycle

I don't need a man...I have a dog

I have always been grateful to be female. Men are so much simpler to keep happy!!

I've sworn off men for a while - you are not supposed to have new relationships for your first year sober. Speaking for this fish, I'm going to miss the bicycle quite a lot!!

I quite fancy someone at AA, actually. That's a step up for me - usually I only fancy alkies and druggies.

I have no intention on acting on my desires, timzup! I think I have proved time and time again on these forums that I am the master of self-control!

I'm sure, positively, lol!!

Am I alone in this, or did anyone else find Blind Date excruciatingly painful to watch.

First, there were all those awful, corny answers to the questions. Then the person who did the choosing looked terminally disappointed with their choice based on personality!!

Then they got to go away with a complete stranger, camera crew in tow. And to top it all off, you get to hear yourself slagged off on national TV!! Why, why, would anyone choose to put themselves through that?

Just in case, here's "our Graham with a quick reminder"

Will it be? number one - Baz from Liverpool, sixteen years H addiction and the theft behind it. Been clean 7 hours and promises he'll never do it again. Honest.

Or maybe number two - Our Billy from Birmingham, fifteen years alcohol abuse and a will to pack it in. "So long as it doesn't affect me benefits" .

Or perhaps, number three - a fish, from North America, looking for a bike.

The decision is YOURS !!!!

Am I gunna get that ban or what?
