Tanks

Its nearly 48 hours since I finished running and I am still sore but gradually feeling better and my leg seems to be 100% ok.

Congratulations on your achievement Kevin, that's amazing and I'll bet it feels great.

Shoot I wish I could run 10 feet! Years of abuse on construction sites and one knee surgerie later, I'm grateful to be able to walk and hike as much as I please. Guess that'll have to be good enough!

Kevin,

My wife just ran the Long Beach City Marathon on Sunday. It was her first time. Look at you man. From alcohol to a monumental accomplishment. A HUGE congrats to you.

wow thanks for your support

I am completely recovered (from the run that is) and even had a little run yesterday (2km) and will run today.

Next is either Trekking from Katmandhu to Everest Base Camp if I can afford it (just lost my job, 500 people sacked!) and then to Boston or LA to run in a Marathon there.

Glad your leg is 100% now!

It is hard to get a sense of a fellow's tone in a post on the internet, but I think your tone is very casual about having just been sacked. And I want my tone to be awe if this is true.

You sound as though you are taking the job loss in stride. If so, your accomplishments over the last 3 years have indeed been great!

I'm still early in my sobriety and my reactions are still like this:

But I'm making progress thanks to terrific role models like you!
