Need some motivation ASAP

Okay- I have been procrastinating. I need to study and I keep putting it off and finding distractions. Today is my last day to get this done!

Someone give me a quick kick in the a**!

"Study! Study! We know you can! If you can't do it - nobody can!"

Did it work??

Git 'er done! I'm doing the same on my end. Sucks to put things off to the very very last minute. I never want to put myself in this position again!

I am in the exact same place right now.
Do you have a hp?
Hit your knees and ask for guidance.
It is helping me!

I'm something of a procrastinator myself, so can't fault anyone else for putting things off. But I am better about doing what needs to be done most of the time. And it does feel so good to know I've accomplished something.

So I won't kick your butt, just tell you to do what you need to do, then it'll be all done! Reward yourself with a special treat when you're done. You deserve it!

Get up and do it - and reward yourself afterward.

Soda, try reminding yourself of WHY you're studying... I've just uhmm endured midterm exam week @ college and it really helped to think about the long term: I REALLY want my degree for a number of reasons. So, reframing the drag of studying in a bigger picture made it much more enjoyable. I don't know what you're studying *for*, but try to find some meaning in it beyond the instant result of passing an exam. That's what works for me

Long term results give meaning; that beats the *** out of instant gratification.

Thanks everyone! I have gotten about half of what I needed to do done. I wouldn't have sooo much to do today if I had not put it off for so long. This is my punishment I guess.

(Just taking a little break.) I am feeling a bit more motivated right now.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend.

This thread is encouraging!

I'm a huge procrastinator.

Soda, I'm glad that you have already gotten half of it done. You're almost there!

Just a quick reminder, I see you got started, good, because action always generates inspiration, inspiration seldom if ever, generates action, keep on keep'n on.

Almost done! I have about one more hour to go. Just needed a little break. I hope I remember this so I don't do it again.

Thanks everyone!

I am also chugging away on my paper! It may turn into an all-nighter but it's going to get done. I don't ever want to do this again, either.

And I've said that many many times before. But something is different this time. Now I'm sober. I'm proving to myself every day that I can do things differently and make good choices. Wow. I just realized that. It's true for you too Soda
