I called the hotline, its late and there is nothing to be done tonight, but the person I spoke to is going to have someone call me in the AM. There might be a chance that I can get a ride to a meeting.

I dont want to drink anymore, talk about sick and tired. im ridiculously tired, and really sick everyday I have to stay in bed for 14 hours or more cause i feel horrible. I would like this to stop. Im not living. Tommarrow is a new day,I need to try and be a new me. ive been thinking everything is oK as long as I dont do drugs, but thats just not true. Drinking is killing me just the same.
Beth..
This could be a new start for you. Being sick this way isn't living..it's true.
And we both know you do not want to stop living. You want to stop
being "like this". You are so close. Just reach for it Beth. We're here
for you too.

Hi Change,
I'm so glad to see that you are still here posting even while "hanging from a thread". Sometimes we have to hit that place of awareness before we finally decide to take action. I won't lie to you: sobriety is no cakewalk. But at least I can now see how distorted and destructive my thoughts and behaviors were while under the influence. Absolute, hellish insanity at its best!
While AA may not work for you in the long run, there can be tremendous relief (in the early days) of knowing you have a safe place to go, where you can be certain, not only that you won't be able to slip up and drink/ use, but also that other people can empathize with the maddening descent into addiction.
I say go--for now (I did). And if the program doesn't work out for you, you can get your dander up later and use that energy to move toward something else that suits you better.
Thinking of you tonight.

i just wanted to check on you.im glad you got threw to somebody.you sound as though you need a break,i understand ,i wore myself out physically and emotionally before i went to detox.i really hope you consider this ,it seems that you need to rest and get youre thoughts together.if you cannot do this i wonder could you take a few days off ,go to some meetings and get youre self more stable before facing everything.sometimes we all need a break to regroup.try and take it easy.you'll be fine.im glad you're still here.you can get better.dont give up..youre in my thoughts and prayers.:ghug3

Glad you rang the helpline. I really hope you go.
Cos of the time differences (don't know if you are EST, Central or PDT), I've only just read your new posts. I would be very surprised if someone didn't give you a lift which is why I suggested it. I know you are scared and feeling all over the place. I'll be back on next tomorrow am my time so I hope to read more posts from you and how your meeting went. Love in Fellowship - you are not alone.

What I can tell you is that I do not belive in God and or any religion yet the above stands and I can also tell you that we are not alone in AA and NA.
Welcome back, one day at a time we heal.

hope you reach out..life is waiting on you.you can do this keep that in mind.all it takes is little steps and before you know it you'll find yourself with big changes.take it easy one day at a time...i still got u in my prayers!:praying
I am wondering how you're doing today. I still think your signature says it all - the answer won't be found in using. I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers that you do what's right for you. I hope you don't "go back there" - it's an awful place and the more you go back there, the harder it is to get out of.

I just cant seem to get my feet out of the quicksand. Stuck and sinking. ive not given up trying to pull myself out competely, but most days I dont care. When Im not here its one of those days. So I guess I care a little today. I know there are meetings tonight, but all I want to do is sleep once I get my work done.
