Negative Man?
 

Hey All

Perhaps this has already been asked... Anyone know what is up with Negative Man?

I thought a while back that he mentioned that he would be on the road a while, but he's been gone nearly a month. His spirit infected a lot of folks here, including me.

So.

I've been far less active recently, due to numerous reasons.

The "Man" is a good man. I helped him, he helped me. He helped and encouraged many. He has slipped before.

Threads exist here that he began. If he is "down," let us show him that we care. Flood his page with well wishes.

I'd hoped that it was my absence and that I simply was "behind the times." Not the case, apparently.

The "Man" has a heart the size of Texas. I know he will check in at some point. Wouldn't it be nice if he had a dozen or so messages awaiting? Wouldn't you benefit from that?

Far too many have dropped from this community. Yeah, stuff happens. But no one writes here who does not HAVE THE DESIRE.

Despite the raised eyebrows of others close to me, I have friends on every continent (excluding the pole) as a result of SR. Some respond to face time only. That is OK. Others, like me, respond to words from the heart; thus, I get emails from people who cannot be visited by automobile. And that is f'ing great.

Negative Man, and many others are worth our caring. When I "fell off" the radar, many PM'ed me. I cannot tell you how much that meant. This stuff, addiction and codependency, varies from day to day. Stuff happens in an instant. The person you have been conversing and sharing with for months can be gone tomorrow. Why?

The disease must be fought day by day. OK. I will be sober today and hopefully, tomorrow. But, what if I'm not? Am I history? Hope not. I am in this for life. And I will never accede.

So, why not a message to "The Man?." A sentence. It may mean to him what it meant to me. Someone cares.
