Hi....I'm new.
I'm not an addict, but I have had them in my life as long as I can remember.
My Dad was a demerol addict when I was a child and he did time in prison for it. He's been sober for years.
Dad's good buddy has lived w/ my family for nearly 20 years and he is a percocet addict and alcoholic. He doesn't drink much anymore now that he can get his hands on percs.
My boyfriend (that I live with) is an alcoholic and xanax addict. It's getting really hard to deal with his belligerence anymore.
This site was recommended to me by the only person I have been able to open up to and talk to honestly about my issues.
Thought I would come on here and introduce myself and say hello.

This is wonderful place to get support and you will find others in very similar situations to the one you are in now in the Friends and Family of Alcoholics/Addicts. Nice to meet you.
