Thumbs down I am an idiot!

Argh! I should have known better! Duh! I bought something a month ago that was heavily advertised. I did some research and decided it was the best fit for me. I shelled out money (serious cash for me b/c I'm a low wage worker) to actually help a bit with my sobriety. Now a newer version came out and the price on what I just bought dropped 25%! Lesson learned, but I'm still upset. This is bad! I learned of this late last night and I'm seriously ticked off! I have yet to go to my enormously crappy job today! Everyone please keep your fingers crossed for me. I don't have an urge to drink right now but I might after work. I'm doing much better this time around and I don't want to screw it up. I'm so angry right now! I have to go.

ooooh, don't you just HATE doing that - it's so frustrating. I'm so sorry to hear that. Go for a run or punch a cushion!

Bam let it out! Scream, kick, hit something (Soft) do what you have to ...but please do not drink!

I have had that happen in the past as well and it has been some cases 50% off! Act mad get glad and get over it!
Unfortunate we cannot change it...it happens a lot ...so yes just chalk it up as a bad day and let it all out!

Buyers remorse sucks!! Don't drink over it because its not worth it. I am actually "starting" to think nothing is worth a drink over. Post on here as Ananda said and get the support from friends and not from a bottle.

Ha...been there. I bought the abdomintor once. It sends electric shocks to your tummy. It basically bought a torture machine that didn't work. Actually, where is that thing???

Glad you vented on here! LET IT OUT!

These things happen. Often.

Not a reason to drink though.

If it was good enough last month, then it's good enough now. Be happy with what you bought. You must've wanted it right?

You might contact the company and point out the lower price. Maybe they'll refund you some $$$.

If you drink, you'll still feel bad about the item, and then you'll have the heaping pile of guilt and remorse weighing you down over your relapse. (and there's no taking 25% off that) :ghug Concentrate on how good you'll feel tomorrow morning, knowing you had this crappy thing happen, but it didn't beat you.
Good luck.

Not an idiot...just a smart shopper looking for a bargain...don't we all!?! It's part of being human. Unfortunately, there's always another human out there looking to make a fast buck...often at our expense.

From another thread:

Part of being human is making mistakes. Today, I'll see my mistakes as chances to learn.
Maybe you can get at least a partial refund...it's worth a try.

I did. I'm waiting to hear back. The product is wonderful, but the way the company does business is terrible.

I'm sorry, people. It's not just buyer's remorse. It was like the icing on the crap cake, if you know what I mean. Sometimes I just can't control my state of mind. I can't believe the thoughts I have sometimes...out of control...I'm tired of these swings. I had them while I was drinking, too.

I just don't feel like complaining about the important things. Besides, my real problems don't even half compare to the tragedies I've read about here. Some of the stories...wow...I feel badly for so many people here. I can't even imagine...it makes my problems look so insignificant...

I ramble...anyways, I feel better right now. Work wasn't a disaster and I "mended a broken fence" with someone today. Thank you people for caring. Try to take it easy, everyone.

hey bam! Just wanted to be sure and let you know that any problems you have in your life are NOT small. While I have to remember that others "have it worse" than me...I need to not forget that my stuff matters too.

I've been told by people that there is never ANY doubt as to where I am at at any given time...I pretty much put it all out there

But you know when I just tell it exactly as it is in my life wether i think it's petty and small or big and huge...I seem to be able to move on and let it go.

When people ask how I am I say "insert mood" but ask me in 5 minites and it'll change

So share away...don't be shy...a problem shared is a problem 1/2ed (or something like that!)

Drinking over living with a bogus bargain would have not solved anything.
So glad you didn't drink.
