Man, what a day.

Never thought I'd start a new thread but, sheesh, what a day today has been. Usually a complaint about a bad day would be engulfed with tales of dashing about, appointments, duties to fulfil and other associated family dogma. But no...

Nothing, not a bean of activity. I ask you, have you ever felt so lethargic that you simply sit there in a transient state? I watched a pencil roll off the table earlier. I could have caught it easily but no, just let the sucker roll off, watching, mesmorised. Go my friend, go! Be free. Take yer little rubbing eraser freeloader with yer.

Thing is, I can see this lethargic approach causing ramifications to bite me worse tomorrow. *brrringggg*...Phone call.... what? .... need a pencil... let me write this down.... hold on, there's one on the floor somewhere, I'm sure..... oh, needs sharpening, bust the point.... hold on, get a sharpener...... keeps breaking off every 1/4 inch.........drilled the whole thing down in vain..... carpet awash with wood-sharpenings..... why did I let this thing hit the floor yesterday?.....you still there?.......find largest piece of carbon to hold between fingernails and write message.

I wonder if Monsieur Bic experienced the same entanglement when he invented the disposable pen? Could be, couldn't it?

Zut alors! L'alcool, c'est merde! ou est la stilo?

Meanwhile, in other news tonight I hear we are about to embark on a breakthrough experiment in Switzerland where scientists will be firing molecules at other molecules at near the speed of light to see what will happen. This has never been done before, ever. However we are assured that nothing untoward will happen. Sorry, but if these guys are so sure nothing will happen then why the f**k are they doing it? Is it just me or does this bring memories from school where we convinced the lad that a lit firecracker between the buttcheeks absolutley will not hurt. It's the same crew that have gotten themselves PhD's and doing it on a global scale

Anyway, I reckon this ought to be moved to the "rant" section. You moderators ought to hurry up, we could be floating around in a black hole by the time you discover this.

I just wanted to post here before it gets pulled

Hope tomorrow is better for ya mate.
I find doing something - even going for a walk - helps.

Too much ennui is not necessarily a good thing

Oh my, timzup!

Hey, if worse comes to worst in Switzerland, at least I won't be able to worry about my problems anymore.

Come to think of it these guys might actually be smart. They did the experiment in Switzeraland.

Splendid location in the event of a mishap. Nothing lost there really, is there?

Smart cookies.

Timzup puts the odds of this thread creating the light-hearted, humourous relief that is much needed in our predicament at much less than 50 mil to one. Thanks Bambloozle.
