2+ months out of rehab..
Hi folks,
Rehab was a poignant experience and YET.....forget it.
That is what my mind says to me....."aahhh shux, it was nothing".
Some ******* at Fairbanks (rehab) told me noone knows the program until they have relapsed. I scoffed and thought that was the dumbest thing i ever heard. If you haven't had enough pain yet, you cannot quench that thirst (perhaps a bad phrase) until you've gone out again. I never thought I would go out again, and yet......[My Sponsor]-Adam, maybe you should try some controlled drinking?-..fill in the rest..
Im so disgusted at myself and so ashamed that i cannot face my sponsor or my friends or anyone. And, that just makes it worse i know.....wtf to do?! Wait, i know what your gonna say: DONT DRINK
Self-knowledge never helped (paraphrased BB)...more than anything, this post is for the newbies, the first-timers...this aint no joke. Whatever

Many of us had false starts on our way to solid sobriety.
...The sooner you get back on track the easier it will be.
Someone often said...and I do agree
"We don't shoot our wounded in AA"

Welcome to SR, Silvio. It's never too late to give it another shot. Take what you learned from rehab and your sober time and use it the next time around. You're right, you can't think your way out of this... hard lesson but we all have to learn it.
