Wow. Thanks for all the great messages. I totally missed this thread all day.

I am just waiting on Hurricane Ike to arrive. They rescheduled my Mom's surgery. Hopefully they will do it on Tuesday. I am as prepared as I know how to be for the storm. I am about 50 miles from the coast. (at my parents house) MY house is only 2 miles from the water. I hear and see on TV that it is already flooding there. And it hasn't even started to rain yet

I am scared. Scared of having to take care of my parents without any help. Scared of losing electricity for a long time. I sure wish my husband was here. He works for the light company and has to work during the storm. Hopefully he can get here in the next couple of days.

Good news........I don't wanna use! That is God's grace.

Please keep me, my family and all of us down here in your thoughts and prayers.
