Day 16

Starts today!! I have been very down the past few days, but that, I think, is probably due to cicumstances - in a nutshell, I have always been the main earner in my home and I have been out of work for around 5 months now. Long story but basically I got messed about at my last job and they had to pay me a fair bit of money to stop me raising hell and taking them to court..anyway, apart from that, I am sober now!! Headaches gone, energy up and 'mysterious' aches and pains seem to have gone as well!!

I still hanker for 'one' glass - got as far as pouring one last night but really really didn't fancy it so threw it down the sink! Go Me.

Keep battling there...i know from previous experience of stopping you are getting to the potentially tricky period where you think you have beaten it.

I got to 21 days in January before i decided i wasn't an alcoholic and just wanted "a" drink... today is day 3 for me so you can see how well that little experience went....

Well done on your sober progress ..:)

When I relocated I had a problem finding a job.
I went early to my AA meetings and stayed late
to discuss the situation with other members.

I had 3 offers...took one totally outside of my work
experience...did on job training ...it worked out very
well. I kept it for 6 years before moving away.

Keep in focus...drinking is a poison to alcoholics.
