I'll be at my usual Monday noon AA meeting
followed by lunch and shopping with AA friends.

I also will be checking in here at SR often.

Congratulations to everyone planning for another day sober

I'm getting ready to take a walk across the street and see how everyone living in "tighthouse" is doing. Then I might have to go to the office which I really don't want to do. BLECK!!!!!!!! URGH!!!!!!!! I'd rather myself, get my teeth drilled, eat a bowl of rotten fruit...........WTH??? LOL!!!! I REALLY don't want to go to the office. I'll have to see that girl that I work with and that's not really on my list of things I'd like to do on my day AWAY from the office!!!

We're going to the zoo. Then we'll come home and grill some chicken and corn for dinner. Sober Labor Day!

No real plans, just did some cleaning in the house and am now watching a movie. Too hot to walk the dogs right now. Glad we had our walk early am when it was cool. Not doing anything special except staying sober. Don't feel like drinking anyway.

A happy sober holiday to all of you!

Lovely day at the beach with the kids. Drinking was far from on my mind. But now my buddy got engaged and we're going out to dinner to celebrate. I was thinking about going early and getting a NA beer before they get there and then saying I'm the designated driver tonight cause I know my wife will have a glass or two of wine. Should be fine. I'll be here in a few hours tonight to report back in.

I stayed home and worked online. Wheee. It was supposed to get rain all day, but it was cloudy, windy and just a few showers. Walked the dog a couple of times.

BF left before lunch and "celebrated" with three different groups. Why this makes me feel sorry for myself I don't know. It just doesn't feel fair that some people can drink in a controlled manner and some people are like me (and many of us here) and can't. I could have gone with him, but just don't find it fun anymore and certainly not productive. Don't need any temptation either. Whine off.

Sorry about not being uplifting but it sure feels good to get it out. SR really has been a link to sanity for me! I appreciate all of you who post your thoughts and stories. I couldn't do it without SR.

On the sunny side, 32 days sober! Yes, I'm very proud of that!

Well, it snowed here last night ...
so I spent the day 'winterising the apartment'
moving plants to warmer winter locations, re arranging furniture...

that's how grown ups describe
trashing the joint.

My apt looks like a bomb went off.
I stopped in from time to time on the telethon
I had a coworker with MS at my last job and we did things at work to donate
to Jerry's cause and all....

I watched a good many 'funny' movies
because nothing was on either television
OR
on NPR ...

Then I came downstairs
and am borrowning the computer.

All in all - a good day.
