hey all!
hey all i'm new here so hi to you all! basically i have decided to live a life of sobriety, i'm 25 and after binge drinking for 10 years i have decided i have a problem. I drink mainly as a confidence booster as i lack self esteem and i'm a definate people pleaser but after taking a long hard look at myself i decided a change is best so here's to it, so far 4 datys sober, here's to the future! ps all the comments have been a great inspiration so thank you all!
Congratulations on your four days sober! Welcome to a supportive and understanding international family! We keep ourselves and each other sober! Welcome to the site!
Keep coming back!

Hey Jakeyboy,
confidence in social situations was my main drinking cue for years until inevitably I was drinking just to be able to get out of bed and face reality.
Get some sobriety under your belt and you'll be surprised how the brain starts bouncing back. Have a look around and see what's in store for you.
Great to meet ya

Nodding my head at Jig's post. I feel a lot more comfortable around people without the alcohol. I know (now) that it was contributing to NOT feeling social and feeling very anxious around people within the last year, maybe longer. Damn stuff turned on me and stopped being "helpful." Welcome Jackey!!
