Worried, any idea's?
Worried, any idea's?
I am going on holiday on saturday for a week and I am a bit concerned about it. At the moment if I feel like drinking, I usually come here and read a bit and it helps me and reminds me why I can't just have one.
The people I am going away with are drinkers, not as bad as I was but a bit more than just a glass or two. I don't have the option of not going and I do want to go, but I won't be able to get an internet connection where I will be, so I am going to be without you guys for a week.
So, I just wondered if any of you might know of some sites or something where I could download some inspiration to my laptop, that I could read if I get urges while away?

with you no matter what-Jump on here if you need too!
Take a journal along and journal your thoughts down-I have found laying on my back
in the grass and hearing nature all around me and breathing in deep and out...has helped me in many ways when nothing else was available to me too!
Have an awesome trip

I agree with the suggestion of a book. If your in AA, how about a 12 step book. If you are a Christian, how about a spiritual help book. Lots of books out there that can help and as you can tell I am still old fashioned as I love to hold a book in hands. I can't adapt to the ebook thing yet. Maybe I will one day, but still love walking into a bookstore for an afternoon or evening. :chatter
Relax and enjoy your trip!!!

In the USA, we have an AA/NA hotline number available 24/7. Anything like that overseas? Don't know if you'll have access to any meetings, but that might be another option. Have a great sober time whatever!
