I want to thank all my friends here for supporting me in staying sober!
I just want to thank all my friends here - which is all of you! - for helping me in my quest to get and stay sober. I am feeling very good these days and am determined to stay sober. NO MORE ALCOHOL!! EVER!! It would have been a lot harder, and not as much fun, to get and stay sober all by myself. I'm so glad, and so thankful for all the support and encouragement and love I get from everyone here. Just reading the different stories is incentive to stay sober. And to all of you who are still struggling to stay sober, I've been quitting and relapsing since last December. So if I can finally do it, so can anyone if they just want it badly enough. And I want to stay sober way more than I ever wanted to drink.
My life is not perfect since getting sober, but it's more likely to get better if I'm not drunk or sick from drinking. And I give lots of credit to all of you!! I love you all very much! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Thank You!! I judt hope I can get out of the relapser thread and join you. It has been very hard but I think every time I relapse at least it is a couple of days under my belt. It becomes easier every time but I just don't yseem to be able to do it . I am going to keep trying. I will not give up.

Least I've been so worried about you & I feel so much better reading those words. I do think we reach a point of no return with it. The first month was so hard for me - but I was still so sick. When I started to get stronger I felt hope returning to my life. It feels so good to be able to trust ourselves again. I'm amazed at how many of my inurmountable problems turned out to be easily resolved once I was thinking clearly again. We weaken ourselves by staying in a drunken, disoriented state - no wonder nothing goes right for us. Thanks for all the helpful things you've said to others, even while you were struggling.

One of the greatest things I admire about you is your honesty.
One of the biggest problems us alcoholics/addicts seem to have is a problem being honest. You own your $hit, admit your slips and share your feelings from your heart.
Your determination is incredible. Keep it up and we'll be congratulating you on many milestones in the days, weeks, months and years to come.
God Bless,
Judy

By getting sober you have already thanked us and filled us with such joy.
By staying sober.. you are giving to yourself and continue to thank us at the same time.
Thank you for my smile today.
