TGIF for all the right reasons!

Happy Friday everyone! Some of us had a tough week, others had a very successful week.
Let's all have a great weekend and focus on beating our addictions and getting our lives back in order, seeing the wonderful things sober life has to offer and feeling proud of who we are and who we are becoming!

I have had a tough but great week. I hit 60 days today. I get my license back

Things seem to be falling into place.

Last night I did have the disease telling me it was time to go out and celebrate and dance. But I told myself ummm... What will that accomplish you will loose what you are celebrating

Let's all try to list a reason or two (or three...

) why we can say TGIF!

Here's mine:

1. My baby started kindergarten today.
2. My best friend is coming to town today and I will get to see her tomorrow (she lives 3 hours away).

cmhcali- I know how great it feels to get your license back! I lost mine for 6 months after my DUI in November. I had no choice but to continue driving to and from work...I was always on edge.

I had a successful week where I ran 4 miles every day before work.

I always used to say, "I could never do that."

Thanks for this thread. I am already a little anxious about the weekend. This is only day 6 for me so this will be the first weekend in a very long time that I have tried not to drink. If we don't get rained out we (family) will be going to a balloon festival which is always fun. It will be a bit of a test too as my husband and I always like street festival type events and of course there will be beer sales there.

I have had a pretty good week though. Had a few days with cravings but was able to get through them some how. I've also been focusing on being a calmer, more peaceful mom.

Fridays are awesome..Its quiet at work. And I can come home knowing I dont have to get up tomorrow. AHH..I love weekends.
Learning to use this time productivly too.
Then just relax and enjoy.

I love hearing the stories, Visiting friends, kids starting school, got my liscense back and things are getting better! get to sleep in tomorrow (Without a hang-over) I LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!
