Yoga for Sobriety
I did when I was first getting off meth. Just regular yoga. It helped.
I still do it, just not as much.
Look up Scarlett Pompers she does a specific type of yoga and credits
it for her recovery from anorexia. I've been going to check that out..

there was a thread about yoga over in the Friends and Family of Alcoholics forum, dated July 14 2008. Its on page 13. I am a klutz when it comes to copying links...sorry.
But, yes. Yoga is essential in my life and recovery.
good to see you...

I have really enjoyed studying Iyengar yoga because it utilizes props. With a good teacher to guide you, the props are helpful (especially in the beginning) so you can begin to understand the dynamics of the asanas (poses) and avoid excessive strain and potential injury. Also, restorative classes are good for learning breath work and for building the body back from a debilitated state.
