Two weeks sober today
These two weeks have been a really eye-opening time. I have gone days, weeks and even 13 months without a drink before but this is the first time I stopped due to Alcohol causing a medical issue because I drank a little too much. I have read 9 chapters of the big book and I have lots of questions but so far so good. I need to make sure that I don't let myself think that just because I didn't hit bottom or that my drinking was nothing like Bill from Chapter one that I am not an alcoholic. My Dr explained that Alcohol treats people differently and that's just the breaks.

I agree, it's very easy to forget about the misery of drinking when you start feeling good about your sobriety; so keep focus: you don't need a drink, enjoy the process of getting back on your feet again. Have you checked out the step-study forums? If you don't have a sponsor, you might get some help there. Good luck, keep going, it gets even better
