Wow it's a ghost town in here!
I went and painted my AA club this morning. We had alot of help and it looks good. This being responsible thing is still very strange to me!

We don't have AA clubs, another reason why this country sucks.
My mum has gone to hospital as her foot and ankle are swollen and sort of purple. I have been hanging around here in case they keep her in and I need to go up there with PJs and stuff.

Hi everybody. Had a nice chat with mom, went to a great meeting that ended up being really serious about underage people in the program and other members taking advantage of their vunerablility in sexual ways, and people taking advantage of newcomers in financial ways, and how we deal with seeing those things happen. Talk about the elephant in the room. I shared in a very general way about my expereinces....
Of course someone had to talk about how when someone "takes advantage of us it's our fault"...didn't walk across the room and hit her. Some people just don't get it. I didn't have to DO anything .... just the fact that I was obviously not asertive was enough to draw the sickies to me to move in on the attack....and I have finally learned how to deal with them firmly but that took years and lots of people helping me out.

Probably ..why...it says we should keep our discussions to our probs with alcohol...
I know...usually gets sidetracked..but that's how the can of worms gets opened..
There's always an "assertive" know it all who just has to impart their
expertise that has nothing to do with experience, strength, or hope.
