felly, soberg, boston...rough day for all, ya? I'm really glad that you were here, posting, instead of getting back into the madness of addiction. My thoughts are with you.

I didn't read back through the thread today, so I am sorry if I am leaving anyone out. It's true that early sobriety is full of yo-yo emotions, but when I think back to my daily insanity of about a month ago, I will gladly take the discomfort of feeling again.

Oh, and, BTW, I'm still here too. I'm only about a week late in piping up and saying so, but then I always was a slow learner!

Just checking in on the morning of day 25! :bounce I'm so happy and excited to be able to stay sober this time! If all my past relapses were practice for this attempt at sobriety, then I guess I got enough practice to actually do it right this time. I'm getting used to waking up sober and feeling like a human being instead of waking up hungover and full of self hatred.

My Higher Power is helping me stay sober and one of the ways He's helping is by sending all you angels-on-earth to help me! Friends are truly a gift from God!! And I am grateful beyond words to all my friends here!! I love you all very much!

Day 25 here as well, seeing the 30day milepost coming up the road is exciting. Thanks to everyone here for sticking together and being supportive! It's great to see the progress everyone has been making. Keep it up

Congrats to everyone celebrating another sober day! Day 16 for me! Just as everyone else says, play it through whenever you get the urge. Also unfortunately we all are experiencing emotions that we would have dulled with drink or drug in the past. We have to learn to deal with emotions in healthy ways and not by self-medicating. It is not easy but it is much better for us and those around us.

Hi to everyone out there!! Haven't been on much due to some much needed vacationing but SR would always pop into my head quite frequently. With that in mind I'd like to thank all the people out there who have given me support and say....

1 month clean! WOOHOO!

Congrats to all who share the same day or before and for all those coming up throughout July you can do it!!! I feel like I have overcome quite a few urges and feel like I handled them well. So looking forward to the next time I get that thought in my head that I need to use, and once again beat it with my ugly stick.

Thanks everyone for your support yesterday it is very appreciated. I love my folks and appreciate that they are giving me a place to live but like most parents they push my buttons at times and I just need to handle things better and treat them with the respect they deserve. I said some stuff to them while I was in rage mode that I shouldnt have said but I appologized this morning and it is fine. And somehow I didnt drink over it. Thanks again guys.

Hi everyone, thanks for you super-kind words. I fell off the wagon yesterday. I am so disappointed in everything, most of all myself right now.

Today, August 7th 2008 is my new sobriety date. Whether or not it will stick I just don't know anymore. Apparently nothing and nobody can keep me sober, including myself.

Time2Surrender, can you remove me from the July list? I'll head over to the August thread and join there at some point.

Oh sobergirl. I'm sorry. It's admirable that you're starting off again today though instead of "enjoying" your drinking time before quitting again (which is what I know I would do). Good luck in the August Club.

Sobergirl- You can always start over. I started in July and really tried hard but also relapsed twice. I now am on Day 3 and I hope I can get it right this time. The main thing is that you don't quit trying. Every day you don't drink is an easier day. I'm really having an easier time this time around because I did have some sober days. Keep trying.
