Well I took a few extra days to think things through from different viewpoints like I said I would, and I made my decision. I just told me wife that my intention is that I have quit. Also made it clear that no one can really say it that way because it's one day at a time, but I intend to be done!

She cried, thanked me, and said that she has loved me for 2/3 of her life, couldn't imagine being without me and it was eating her up that she was afraid of me. For the record, I've never laid a violent hand on her, but I was still intimidating.

So, it's a new beginning for me and for our marriage. I'm sure I'll be back with some type of a thread as I progress through this adventure.

Thanks to all that have commented and read. I have been reading various threads and links too.
