It's amazing how much damage can be done every hour while using, and how much growth and recovery can happen every moment that we're sober!!

Congrats!

Yea, us!!! I've been so sleepy this week, I wonder if it's coming off the booze? So happy to look better, though! Who knew not drinking could help my appearance?! LOL!

Thanks for thinking of me! I'm thinking of you all, too. :)

Dreamchaser 07-19-2008 08:58 AM

I'm more than halfway through day 5 and feel much better too! Thinking positive and enjoying life with a much clearer head. :c029:

Congratulations! I am so very happy for you. You sounded so discouraged in some of your posts that I worried about you. God Bless.

Yes, I was very sleepy from week 2 thru about week 10 of sobriety. I do not know what causes this but based on the reaction of the people in my home group this is pretty common.

dgillz: wow...that's a long time to be sleepy!! Good thing I put the kids down for bed at 7...I zonk out right with them! lol

This is some real happy news to read today. I am proud of you all. I remember my first week or 30 days like it was yesterday. So, I do know how you feel.

Thank's for sharing your good news, made my day. :bounce

Boy can I relate to what you are saying. Part of the reason I fell of the wagon last week was, because I told myself I would have more energy. Well that work for the first day and then... well you know!

In a few hours I'll be on my day 6. I'm dried out and feeling much better, but tired all the time. Just wish I would sleep better at night. My dreams are so vivid it's like I'm awake. God... I hope I don't have to go through 10 weeks of feeling tired all the time.

The folks on this forum are just great about sharing their experiences! :ghug2
