Um. small embarrassed confession
Hi everyone
I can't seem to do basic arithmetic. July has always been the middle of the year and so I think of it as the half-year month. When I introduced myself, I said happily that I have a year-and-a-half of continuous sobriety. That is not accurate.
My sobriety date is 17 March 2007 and if I add on my fingers I am just over 14 months sober. Even if I do think of July as halfway through the year.
I should carry one of those sobriety day calculators around with me all the time!

Well whether or not you can do arithmetic or not everyday you stay sober the better. So congrats on 14 months thats pretty amazing and I hope that I can get there and I'll keep track of it one day at a time rather than using any other methods.

Think of it like football time! Five minutes left on the clock for football can drag on for hours (you can see how much I dislike football! lol). Heck, you should be able to ADD time for your accomplishment!!!
Whatever time you call it, I'm proud of you!!! I hope to get there.

Good thing we all love each other. Here's the breakdown: March 17, 2007 to March 17, 2008 = 1 year (12 months) From March 17, 2008 to today is 4 months (not counting the extra days) SOOO 12 months plus 4 months is 16 months!!! CONGRATULATIONS!! Amen to brother Dgillz. Love and hugs to sister Mala on 16 months of well earned sobriety.

I feel more idiotic than ever -- up until I turned a year sober I counted every day. Then I just went from one day at atime to the next and only thought about the number of months when I registered here. And got the maths wrong!
Oh well,`16 months is a daily miracle for me because I recall so well not thinking I could stay an hour sober. As we say, if I could do it any of you can do it --
Thanks & love
