day 365

One year ago today I was downing a bottle of vodka on the way to treatment. I was a complete mess and I'm sure near death after 20+ years of daily drinking. The last 5 years basically drinking 24/7. Even with a week in the hospital, doctor's orders not to drink again and big time family pressure to quit I couldn't stay sober for 30 minutes. But for reasons I can't explain, God did for me what I couldn't do for myself. That and the fellowship of AA have kept me sober. Yesterday I was boating with the family...sober. Today I went golfing...sober. It's such a great feeling that its hard to believe its real.

Unbelievably wonderful and miraculous!:day4 Well done for allowing God to do what we can't do for ourselves.

Enjoy every minute of it, it keeps getting better.

We are truly blessed.

What a wonderful day...

Golfing sober is alot more fun. When you hit the ball into a gopher hole on your drive - you do not yell "hole in one". Okay - yeah - that was corny.
