The all day wedding is on Saturday. I am not looking forward to it, mainly because it's all my missuses family in the day and I have never been able to handle them sober en masse.

Good job I have an escape plan sorted for the afternoon and then I will take my son to bed at 10pm.

RK2007's balloon trip.

Bought a new woolly hat yesterday to take up with me today. I also planned a visit to the puppet theatre and some local museums in Biggar, before going up in the balloon at 6pm today.

Phoned the hot-line for an update as instructed just after 2pm. Recorded message from our pilot, who sounded cheery and up-beat. "Balloon trips for today cancelled due to atmospheric conditions". It was only raining, no wind or anything. Whole day ruined.

So, I've been told to phone up or go online and re-arrange the whole thing - my ticket is still valid obviously, but I'm disappointed. Will do so and keep you posted.

Oddly, I think I'm probably more gutted about not going to the puppet theatre. Think I'll go ahead and check that out very soon - should have still went anyway but couldn't be arsed after hearing the balloon pilot recording.

I'll post the new dates for my balloon trip tomorrow - at least it's not totally ruined.

Not to worry Krissy, I'm trying to be philosophical about it.

Now if only that balloon pic had somebody on it that could be a contestant, that would almost be compensation.

I think we need to find a balloon themed contestant from somewhere.
