To everyone that made the vow to not drink this Holiday Weekend, how did we do?

I am proud to say I stayed Sober and on my way to one long week behind me. I feel great and I hope and pray everyone else was able to enjoy the Holiday just as I did.

Friday was great.
But the rest of the weekend wasnt.
But I didnt use.

Didn't do much on Friday- but went to a party at a friends' house on Saturday. It was a lot of fun.

Still clean.

Got up each morning of the three day weekend.

Drank coffee while reading posts on this website.

Ran four (4) miles each morning.

Went to the beach every day.

Went to a meeting each day.

Realized, and thanked God, that I am in recovery so I could do these things.

I didn't make a vow not to drink this weekend, but I didn't drink today. The vow thing sounds too much like those old time 'pledges' that folks used to make not to drink, and we all know that far more often than not they didn't work. Congratulations on another day of sobriety.

Fantastic weekend! Long bike ride, went to the beach, friend's birthday, and best of all, no boozies.
