I know I have been away from the board but I had to be while I was still needing to take narcotics for my surgery recovery. I did not want to trigger anyone and I did not want to be here until the narcotic treatment was done.

I was down to T3's, but still, they are an opiate and still addictive.

So here I am. I have missed you all! I also see some newbies.

I am now only taking ibuprofen for pain relief. It's a real bi*ch sometimes (the pain) but I am hanging in there and not asking the doctor for anything and frankly, don't want anything stronger.

Detoxing from the Vicodin was awful, and the night sweats from the percs were even worse.

I'm still gonna need you all!!!!!

Hi Amelia,

It's not necessary to stay away from the boards because you are taking pain meds after surgery. You can always come here and share your concerns.

I'm glad you're feeling better.
