Replacing an addiction with an addiction??
Heavy, I once saw Carnie Wilson on Oprah talking about becoming addicted to alcohol after her bypass. It was a very interesting show, and she was so open and willing to share what she'd been through. I know this is a common thing. It may sound silly but since I quit drinking in January I can't control my appetite for sweets or caffeine. *sigh* Always something.

I've heard that it's typical to replace one addiction with another. It seems I'm replacing drinking with eating. But, if you take your pain medicine as prescribed or as prescibed and as needed you should be okay. If your doctor knows you are in recovery he might be able to prescribe something else but sometimes you just have try 2 follow directions. Good Luck, and I know how you feel.
