My name is Christy and I am new to this. I would really appreciate some advice and just the comfort of talking to someone who has the same problems with alcohol that I have. I really need help and would appreciate any response. I am a 35 year old single parent and have a supportive family, although they are not supportive when it comes to drinking problems.

Welcome to SR. This is a safe environment to talk to others about alcoholism, alcohol abuse etc.

What kinds of questions do you have? I would suggest telling us a little bit about whats going on.

I am about two weeks sober now and loving it. Temptation is always there, but I use this forum to proudly tell my friends I did not have a drink yesterday!!!
