We had a friend who took a step backwards (Read "I blew it") I was amazed at the conversations that went back and forth. I am so glad to have this forum. It was a great victory for all of us when this post came up "O.K. I poured it out".

SR has been a great source of strength for my recovery! My family that I know
will support me with anything that I do! Well they may tell me that it is not
a good choice-and that is up to me to listen!

One alcoholic helping another, we share our Experience, Hope & Strength in the hopes that what we say may be just what one single other alcoholic needs to hear at that time to stay sober and get better.

Anyone who shares a relapse is helping other alcoholics who are on the verge of relapsing them selfs.

Add some face to face, some hand shakes, some smiles, a few knowing looks and 12 steps and you darn near have AA!

Way to go Heavy. Yes, this is a great site. Some us though don't do the heavy AA push however. I for one am not an AA'er. I don't knock it, just haven't needed it. It sounds as though you have made some personal choices that have put you in the proper frame of reference to make your recovery work. AA may be your thing, maybe not. It has certainly been the source of success for many here. You will decide what is best for you as you know who you are better than we do.
