Happy Father's Day
Happy Father's Day
To all of the Dads out there, I would like to wish you a safe, fun and sober Father's Day. My Son will be in Hattiesburg for a bit later this morning and I am driving down to see him. He is my gift from God and I treasure these new times of sobriety that I get to spend with him. The first 23 years are kinda fuzzy. I could go on and on about him but will spare you the details - for now that is. LOL
PS. To all the Moms - I always thought that your day was every day anyway!!!
Peace and Love to all.

Happy Father's Day All....
I'd like to wish a Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's out there . . even those who aren't biological Dads. The only Steps to me are the 12 that I work on a daily basis!
And to all the Father's who are experiencing a clean and sober Father's Day this year, whether it be your 1st or 50th, Please know this is the most precious gift you could ever give your children . . . their Dad back. This is the 2nd Father's Day since my Dad died (see my thread I posted, Memories of my Dad) We had 11 wonderful Father's Day's together after he got sober and we shared a very special one a few months before he died . . . the first since I had been in Recovery. Money was very tight that year and I didn't have the money to buy him the gift I wanted to. I had him over for dinner and we exchanged gifts (my Birthday is the 21st) when I apologized to him for not being able to get him what I wanted. He was full of Cancer, weak and pale but the smile and glow on his face is something I will never forget. He looked at me and said, "You have already given me the gift I have wanted the most for so many years, I have my Daughter back."
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY TO ALL THE DADS OUT THERE AND MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
Hugs,
Judy
