Hi there, just found this site and registered, desperate for some kind of support at the mo, try to go to actual meetings/goups but never have time and many of my fiends just don't seem to understand, so here I am, dunno if I'm in the right place but it'd be great to talk to people who understand.

Just an observation, we always managed to find the time to party. Support on the personal face to face level is important, IMHO.

Also-- some area meetings (in my area anyway) have childcare available, and so far as I know, everyone is welcome to bring kids if they have them. If you're not sure, check your area's website or call around and ask. A lot of times you'll find people who want to help you get to meetings, however possible.

I went to meetings here for 2 1/2 years, I just haven't since I got pregnant with my second child and her birth, breastfeeding, etc. Anyway, I believe that this site has helped me since I found it in March. I was in need and I reached out. That is what you have done also, ladtrying29. GOOD FOR YOU!!! Stick with it.

Whatever support you need you can find it here. If you can't find what you need through the myriad of Stickies, then just ask with you post. Someone will help you.

Welcome to SR and the wonderful family here. I do not personally attend AA yet, but will if I feel I need to. Do what is right for you at this time and moment and if you feel this isn't helping enough then find a new avenue. You can do it and again, welcome!!
